"Nowadays migration in all its many forms, whether forced or voluntary, is gradually creating a situation in which cultures, religions and myths are coming together with equal standing. It is against this background that Gläsker's "wonderful" rooms acquire relevance to the present, namely as places of spiritual, idealist meditation, of mythical thought that – perhaps – might shape itself into a supra-individual, supra-cultural reality. At least it provokes the diagnosis of forms of social life, in others and in oneself. And it is not least a starting point for resistance to overly one-dimensional mechanisms of social identification."
